A beam engine by Bradley and Craven, Wakefield 1855, all original including a 28ft in diameter scoop wheel, except the 1909 Foster boiler and steamed by a more modern vertical boiler with a pressure reducer. It is a scheduled ancient monument together with an adjacent 1940 Ruston diesel Gwynnes centrifugal pump which is also demonstrated when possible, all subject to suitable water levels.
