Derby Industrial Museum is housed in a re-built version of England’s first factory, the silk mill of 1721. It features local industries, including railway engineering and power sources. It is home to the Rolls-Royce Aircraft Engine Collection, and also has a varied temporary exhibition programme and shop. The museum is open daily and admission is free.
