About Cardiff
Cardiff started as a settlement some 2000 years ago, but it is only for the last 100 years that it has existed as a City. It has been influenced throughout its history by the Romans and the Normans, part of the industrial revolution and involved in the coal industry.

It is the Capital of Wales and a very popular place to visit. There is always plenty to do. With a wide variety of entertainment with the Edwardian New Theatre, the Wales Millennium Centre and St David’s hall, the National Concert Hall of wales together with plenty of live music, street festivals and cinemans, you will be spoilt for choice.
Discover the city with Cardiff's Centenary Walk, with it historic landmarks and well-kept secrets.
Add to that maritime traditions, Cardiff Bay still attracts a lot of boat users. Visitors will enjoy the extensive range of places to eat.Two yacht clubs and two marinas, over 1000 resident vessels in the bay, Cardiff Bay Barrage transformed the area into a 200 hectare of freshwater lake.

Cardiff is Europe’s youngest city and has seven leisure centres offering facilities for everyone and also a Riding School.
Cardiff market has plenty to offer from lovely food including the warm welsh cake, to jewellery and gift ideas.
