Cheltenham Accommodation

About Cheltenham

Cheltenham, probably started as early as 803 as an Anglo-Saxon settlement, site of a monastery.
Cheltenham is set in between the Cotswold Hills and the Severn Vale, and is a beautiful Spa town. It is one of England’s most complete Regency town. Being located less than hundred miles from London, it makes it a convenient touring base for the Cotswolds, Bath and Stratford upon Avon.
 Accommodation
Cheltenham used to be a small Cotswold town and became famous as a Spa in the late 18th Century. You can still taste a sample of the famous mineral water at the Pittville Pump Room, in Pittville Park. As a spa town, Cheltenham has always been linked with Health & Leisure, thus you will find a large selection of health & beauty and fitness centres.

Cheltenham is also famous for Horse Racing, known as the home of National Hunt Racing, the highlight of which is the famous Cheltenham Gold Cup usually held in March.
Cheltenham hosts several festivals and Antique Fairs throughout the year in the impressive Town Hall in Imperial Square.

Other entertainment is held throughout the year. Cheltenham International Jazz Festival is held in April and Cheltenham International Festival of Music and Fringe takes place in July. The Summer Ballroom Dancing Festival is in August and the Cheltenham Festival of Literature is October.
 Accommodation
Cheltenham has a wide variety of places to eat, from traditional French and Italian cuisine, to a more modern or oriental one, with wine bars, brasseries, restaurants (among them one of the Michelin 2star one). Add to that a vibrant nightlife.
