Leyburn, a market town, is the ideal base for discovering the Yorkshire Dales and Wensleydale. It is linked to Middleham by a suspension bridge built in 1829.

It has become the centre for mid-Wensleydale shopping and trade. You will find plenty of independent shops and services.The open-air market takes place on Fridays and you can also attend the livestock sales at the auction mart.

The Forbidden Corner, one mile from Leyburn offers water features, mystery trails and a grotto.There is also a Model Village, the Beech End where you can enjoy controllable boats and road vehicles.
