Morecambe is located in the Lancaster district of Lancashire.

It was only a little fishing village in the name of Poulton-le-Sands. With the development of the fishing industry it grew and has now become a very popular destination in the West.

It is also the ideal touring base if you wish to visit the Lake District or the Yorkshire Dales.

The promenade which extends to four miles is sure to delight for a stroll and enjoying the scenery. One of Morecambe’s most famous landmark, i.e the statue of Eric Morecambe (who was one of the English comedians who formed the famous double act of Morecambe and Wise).

Morecambe being flat is ideal for cycling, but you can also enjoy the water sports activities such as windsurfing, water skiing or yatching or have a game of golf on one of the three courses.

Leighton Moss Reseve is famous for bird lovers as it has special birds such as breeding bitterns, bearded tits, marsh harriers and avocets wheras Lakeland's Wildlife Discovery Centre offers a mix of exotic wildlife to and interactive displays.

The festival market is where bargains and gifts can be bound. There are restaurants, bars suitable for various tastes and budgets.
